We are going to be at the following 2 locations this coming Saturday 22nd November with our knife amnesty bin if you have any old knives that you wish to discard of safely.
BELPER - Ada Belfield/Library 10:00 - 11.00 LANGLEY COUNTRY PARK - Co-Op, Samuel Rd 12:00-13:00
This week, as part of the national Operation Sceptre knife crime week of action, we are highlighting the work we do year-round to tackle knife crime. A major part of this campaign is the knife amnesty, and we highly encourage anyone with unwanted knives to hand them in to us this week. You may have old knives which you don’t use any more, or you may have had a knife that was legal to own privately but, under the updated Offensive Weapons Act, this is no longer the case. Whatever the reason, hand them in to us using the amnesty bin at Belper or Langley Country Park. they will be safely disposed of – which could be vital in preventing them from getting into the wrong hands. #OpSceptre #KnivesShatterLives #DropTheKnife #CommunityEngagement
